Latinos Unidos del Norte


This organization's purpose is to promote the bonds of friendship among the diversified community of Fairbanks; to improve and better member knowledge of the English language; to preserve the Spanish language and culture; and to increase the awareness of these by participating in events such as the Golden Days Parade, Friendship Day, etc.

Special projects include the Cinco de Mayo Celebration and the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (September) during which a dinner dance is held and a Miss Latina is selected.

The club awards a scholarship to the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The recipient must be a child of a member.

Meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the 1st Wednesday of the month, or at 5:00 pm on the 1st Sunday of the month at 177 7th Avenue, Fairbanks, AK. Please call 907-456-2572 or write to the address below to confirm meeting date. Meetings are open to the public.
