Inside St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church

In the gathering space hangs these back lit stained glass windows that originally in St. Ann's Hospital Chapel.

 

Icons by Charles Rohrbacher hang throughout the Church.

This icon is "Christ in Glory"

 

To the right of "Christ in Glory" hang John the Baptist, Archangel Gabriel and St. Paul.

 

To the left of "Christ in Glory" hang the Virgin Mary, Archangel Michael and St. Peter.

 

Various other art forms are also present throughout the Church.

Our Altar.....design depicts the mountains, trees and water of Southeast Alaska.

 

The Ambo is embellished with the same design and symbols of the Altar.

 

The gospel stand also carries on the design.

 

 

The stone used in the Church came from a single piece of granite found at Montana Creek in Juneau.

Our Lady of the Rosary Shrine Chapel

A place to pray for peace.

 

This is the Icon of the Holy Rosary by Charles Rohrbacher. Each Mystery of the Rosary is included in this icon.

 

 

Three more stained glass windows from the original St. Ann's Hospital Chapel hang in this chapel that holds approximately 30 - 35 people. It is also affectionately called the day chapel due to the fact that it is where daily Mass takes place.
