About Us

Our Planes

The Piper Cherokee Six accounts for over 50% of the commercial aircraft operating in Southeast Alaska. This is a single-engine six-seat aircraft which typically cruises at about 150 mph. Large windows offer unrestricted views for all passengers. Perfect for glacier flightseeing!

Air Excursions' Cessna 172XP is a slightly more powerful version of one of the most popular 4-seat aircraft in the United States. With a larger engine and oversized "tundra tires" this aircraft is perfect for landing at remote airstrips.

Air Excursions' Cessna 206 Amphibian is outfitted with amphibious floats which allow it to operate from both paved runways and water. This aircraft is used for remote lake drop offs, fly-in rafting and fishing, Glacier Bay sightseeing (with a water landing for a close-up view of the glacier's face), and is excellent for our bear viewing tour.
