The Redeemer, captained by Doug Blossom is a 32 foot, custom built "Blossom" boat designed especially for the Deep Creek Charter Fishery. Captain Doug is a life long Alaskan, born and raised on the Kenai Peninsula. Doug grew up commercial fishing for salmon and halibut on the Kenai Peninsula and has been running sport fishing charters for 9 years. |
The Glacier Bear is a 32', highly customized "Blossom" boat built to order for (and by) Captain Mark Chihuly. Nineteen years of Deep Creek Charter experience went into the design specifications for the Glacier Bear. Mark Chihuly is a longtime (45 years) Alaskan resident. He is a licensed big game hunting guide with 17 years experience guiding Kodiak bear hunts. Mark spent 13 years working for the Alaska State Fish and Game Department specializing in bear management. Mark has been fishing with his brother Mike and Chihuly's Charters for 19 years. |
The Keeper is the latest addition to the Chihuly Charters fleet. Captained by Dave Blossom the Keeper will get you on the fish so you can find your own keeper. Captain Dave Blossom is a 47 year lifelong Alaskan born and raised on the Kenai Peninsula and the waters of Alaska. Dave has spent his life commercial fishing for salmon, halibut, crab and herring from Sitka, Prince William Sound, Cook Inlet and Bristol Bay. Dave has a 50 Ton Masters Captains license with 35 years experience skippering vessels and 1 years experience as a charter captain. Dave is also a lifelong sportsfisherman. |
The Miss Shirley is the newest in the Chihuly fleet. Miss Shirley was custom built to the specifications of Mike Chihuly, based on 22 years of charter experience in the Deep Creek area, by BayWeld of Homer. Captain Mike was one of the first guides in the Deep Creek fishery. He brought with him the knowledge of a marine biologist with a M.S. in Fisheries Biology from the University of Alaska and 9 years experience working for the State of Alaska Fish and Game and private companies as a fisheries consultant. Mike started Chihuly's Charters in 1982. |
