WHAT CAN BE SAID ABOUT A BEN-CHER'S CHOCOLATE STANDARD POODLE?
"INTELLIGENT, SOUND, Full of PERSONALITY, and VERSATILE!"
Since 1995, we have specialized in the finest of chocolate standard poodles
BRIEF HISTORY"Caniche" is a term which used to identify those Standard Poodles dating back to the Middle Ages. The French name, Caniche, literally translates to "duck dog". This ancient retrieving competence still exists and is found in a Ben-Cher's chocolate Standard Poodle.
One of the chocolate Standard Poodle's countries of origin is Germany. It is there that the name poodle got its start. The German word "Pudel" means to "splash in water", which again points to its natural tendencies to love the water. The original colors for the poodle were chocolate, and black. Today, the poodle remains a versatile breed because of their sensitivity and trainability. Their natural retrieving instinct and "soft mouth" makes them ideal in retrieving a variety of objects. YOUR NEXT FAMILY COMPANION IS WATING FOR YOU!
We here at "Ben-Cher's chocolate" strive to amplify those historic water retrieving skills so well known to this fascinating breed of dogs. Early training is a vital element in a retriever's development. We evaluate each litter carefully to identify those pups who exhibit the greater tendencies toward developing their natural retrieving instincts. About 35% of our pups are placed in hunting homes. If you have an interest in a beautiful chocolate colored poodle and can also appreciate their sporting background we have some great photos to show you. You can E-mail us for some very special puppy pictures and please feel free to comment on any of the pups shown in our photos.
A Ben-Cher's chocolate pup stands out in show companion, agility, good
citizenship awards, obedience, and every category of family fun. Whether you are an individual looking for a retrieving hunting partner, a winner in the show ring, or just searching for a loving companion for the kids, a Ben-Cher's chocolate may be just what you're looking for. With a commitment on your part, our chocolates can easily obtain their competition titles and of course, always excel in "Frisbee" and "flyball" at family picnics!
We raise our dogs in Southeast Alaska which has proved to be an ideal location for this durable breed. In fact, a team of Standard Poodles made a credible showing in an annual sled dog competition run here in Alaska called "The Iditarod Race".
We have safely shipped our pups to all parts of the U.S. since 1995 and receive preferential treatments in all airports. Your pup is just a short flight from your home and all reports back are that our pups travel very well.
