Rex Henderson and Daryl Olson operate a fish charter and guiding service out of Copper Center, Alaska specializing in King Salmon fishing on the Klutina River. They have over 30 years of combined experience on the Klutina River and are Coast Guard licensed. King or Chinook Salmon are the premier fish in Alaska as they can attain considerable size, put up a very hard fight, and are prime table fare. A client of Rex's caught a King weighing 72 pounds from the Klutina River on one of Rex's guided trips. We also charter for Red or Sockeye Salmon which run prolifically in the Klutina and Copper Rivers during the months of June and August. On our guided trips we supply you with fishing rods, tackle, bait, hipboots and PFDs along with the expertise to catch the trophy of a lifetime. You bring along your lunch, rain gear and of course a camera to record the excitement and also any wildlife, which we may see along the river. The thrilling jetboat ride on the class 3 river could be the highlight of your Alaskan experience. Along with the fishing services, we offer a full service campground suitable for motor homes, trailers, and tents including a recreation center for your entertainment after your day on the river.
