Allen County Public Library
- Home of the largest index of genealogical periodicals in the world called the PEReriodical Source Index or PERSI, for short. This collection indexes articles from the broadest spectrum of English-language and French-Canadian genealogy and local history periodicals.
- The webmaster's goal with this site is to make it the most complete jumplist of genealogical websites worldwide. If you can't find what you're looking for from here, it probably isn't available on the web yet.
Ancestry Search
- This site features online searches of the Social Security Death Index
and a searchable American Marriage Records database. The Marriage Records give
names and publication numbers where the information can be found in books sold by
Ancestry Search. Other databases include Early American Immigration Library and
American Biographical Library. This is an excellent site for finding leads.
The Census Bureau
- Don't look for census records online here, but you
will find interesting tidbits of information such as the most
common surnames in the USA and demographic information compiled from
the last census. There is a Genealogy section that links to other genealogical
sites and now provides a new Age Search Service. Definitely worth a
look.
The Genealogy Home Page
- The place to go to find links to nearly any genealogical
resource available on the Net. You'll find links to such places
as The Library of Congress and the National Archives here.
Genealogy on the Web
- A straightforward listing of websites worldwide.
The National Genealogical Society
- The NGS is a highly acclaimed genealogical membership
organization that offers wonderful resources for the beginning and advanced genealogist.
This site even offers information on how to sign up for the NGS basic home
study course in genealogy. A must-see site.
Scottish Clans
- Look up the crests and tartans of Scottish clans, as well as the
surnames of the septs, individual families who were associated with,
and protected by, the clans.
Vital Records Information: State Index
- This page contains information about where to obtain vital records for each county of each
state.
WhoWhere?
- Looking for someone with a particular surname that you'd like to
correspond with? Then this is the link to follow. This is a continuously growing
database of phone numbers, e-mail addresses, personal homepages and more.
Yahoo Search for Genealogy Sites
- This search of the Internet using the Yahoo search engine
yeilds many interesting and informative sites, including the ones listed here. Links to
additional search engines are also provided.
