Alaska is known for its abundant wildlife! The POLAR BEAR, BLACK BEAR and the GRIZZLY BEAR serve as icons of this most rugged land. Here at the fudgepot, we have all three of these Alaskan bears. Each bear is individually carved (using a chain-saw) from the most abundant tree in Alaska; the White Spruce.
During the summer months, fishing is a very popular pastime for bears. Some follow their Natural instincts while others use more Conventional methods
Fairbanks, Alaska is our home. Fairbanks is called the "Golden Heart City" since everyone here has a heart of gold. O.K. Not really! Fairbanks is "really" called the "Golden Heart City" because of its central location in the State, and its rich deposits of gold first discovered in the early 1900's.
Since we live in a land of such EXTREMES we have special clothes to wear. T-Shirts will do in the summer but in the winter we need something a wee bit WARMER.
