"Taking out the garbage has never been so much fun!"

An odorless composter for your home, at the office, at school or on your balcony.

The Collector Tray is the first or bottom tray. It has five air vents which also hold the legs. These legs clip into the collector tray making a stand for the system. The tray also has a center support mound which allows a convenient route for worms to climb back to the working Trays should they happen to fall below. A tap at the bottom of the Collector Tray allows liquid fertilizer to be poured off at the users convenience. This liquid fertilizer can be used as a fertilizer for your garden or houseplants. No more store-bought fertilizers!

The Can-O-Worms worm farm is fun, easy to use and it gives you free plant food!

It is so versatile that it can be left indoors for apartment dwellers, on a balcony, in a shed or in a shaded outdoor location for those with a yard.

By reducing the amount of waste you now throw away, you can contribute to the reduction to garbage at your local municipal or county land fill.

The Can-O-Worms is made in Australia from 100% post consumer recycled plastic.

The compost worms will produce worm manure called castings which can be used in potted plants or in your garden as a soil improver.

A comprehensive 16-page Instruction Booklet is included with the system. It explains the simple set-up and operation of the Can-O-Worms. It also includes answers to the most commonly asked questions.

The Bedding Block is made from the outer husk of coconut fiber called coir. Coir is a renewable resource. When placed in water, it will expand approximately eight times (looking a lot like peat moss), making it an ideal bedding medium.

The three Working Trays have mesh bottoms and are interchangeable. The worms are started off in the first tray with the Bedding Block provided with the kit. Food scraps are added every few days until the first tray is half full of compost. The second tray is then added to make the next level. The worms then simply 'eat their way up', wiggling into the next tray where they can smell the food scraps which have just been placed there.

This process continues until the third tray is full of compost. By this time most of the worms have left the first working tray where they began. This tray is then removed for harvesting. The compost (called castings) can be used as a solid fertilizer, and the now-empty tray is returned to the top to act as the next working tray. Thus the cycle is never-ending.

There are thousands of species of earthworms worldwide, all of which feed on some form of organic matter but their preferences and habitats differ. Can-O-Worms requires composting worms. They live and breed happily in an organic rich environment like the Can-O-Worms worm farm, compost bin or even a heavily mulched garden where moisture and food is maintained. These worms are categorized as Composters, as opposed to the Earthworkers which prefer less controlled environments and prefer soil and humus as their basic diet.
