How to HTML

Isn't it exciting???!!! :)

...Ready...
...Set...
...GO...

~ META KEWL! ~

Now this is a very helpful little item..and fun and amazing tooalso!
An invisible command that makes your browser magically "jump" to
another page without any help from your mouse! Use it for a title page
or something...I just think it's neat so here it is. :)

[ Change the blue info to different amounts of time and links ]

<HEAD><META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" CONTENT="20;
URL="

~ MORE TEXT STUFF ~

SupText
 Sup

Note:Forgot to tell you this in number 1.
This is fun to know because you can
sup a sup...movingupfurtherand backdownagain!*smile*
I did that by placing a in front of each word going up
without using the endtag until I wanted to move back down again.
Make sure to use as many tags as you did in front.

Font face changes

<font size=6 color=black face"Trebuchet MS, Espy Sans Bold,
Ariel Bold, Avant Garde
"> Font changes </font>

To change from the normal "net" look
you can choose the font "face." (This only works in newer browsers)
...I'm not sure of all the fonts in Windows' machines but here
are a few standard Mac typefaces.

Some Mac fonts | Some Windows fonts

Sans serif: Avant Garde, Helvetica, Helvetica Narrow

Serif: Bookman, New Century Schoolbook, Palatino, New York, Times

Script: Brushscript, Zapf Chancery

~ IMAGE LINKS ~

More cool tidbits!!
How to make your picture a link for another page...
like all those "go here" buttons. :) If you click on the froggie
it will take you to my homepage.

froggie

<a href="http://www.ptialaska.net/~melissag">
<img align=middle alt="froggie" border=none src="froggie.gif"> </a>

Another Note..another note! tee-hee: Because I have "froggie.gif"
sitting in the same folder/directory as this page I didn't have to use
the "http://" stuff to get the pic..just the name of the file. *smiles*

~ TABLE COLORS ~

<table border="0" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="5" width=500>
<tr> <td bgcolor="
lightblue">
<center><font color="
black" face="Georgia, Palatino">

Wala! Don't make your text the same color as your
background background though or it'll disappear for those
with lower level browsers that can't read colored tables!
</font></center>
</td> </tr> </table>

Wala! Don't make your text the same color as your background background though or it'll disappear for those with lower level browsers that can't read colored tables!

~ ONE LAST TRICK ~

You can make your <hr> lines black by adding the "noshade" feature.

<hr noshade width=200 size=20>

Another page down...six is good. :) I wish I could do this
guide a bit more often but I'm busy doing other pages and
drawing and ....well, we won't get into what else..heh...
Keep up the good work! I'm so proud of you!
Oh..and if you used this guide to help make your pages
please let me know and I'll link.

See you! Melissa/WhymsiqueL
