We shared a tent. Kam was right at home. He needed no coaxing at bedtime. I just patted his towel I put on top of a foam pad, and he laid down for the night. Soon we were all packed up and ready to blaze the trail back down to town. The temperature was around 15 degrees so I was anxious to get moving. Thankfully, hot waterbottles thawed out my frozen boots.
Kam seemed impervious to the cold. He loved hanging out near the rock, chewing on a pig ear, his favorite treat. The view was tough to leave. But the trail was calling. To my surprise, the trail turned into an icey mess quite similar to a bobslead run! It was not going to be an easy trip back down.
