As we've come to learn, the wholesale price of salmon affects
the price we will expect in the season. Information is available on the Web
about which we could only speculate four or five years ago. This has had a mixed
effect on the salmon market. Fishermen now know what kind of prices their product
sells for, and can quickly access information about sales prices around the
country, but retailers also can monitor price and use this information to their
advantage.
There are several sites that provide valuable salmon market
