Join us aboard our elegant, classic 106' M/V VALKYRIE for your personalized Inside Passage wilderness sightseeing, whalewatching, cruising and/or fishing experience.

2010 Cruise season: $685/person/24-hour day

Days are regarded as 24-hour periods. (Example: 10am Monday until 10am Tuesday)
Price includes everything except alcoholic beverages, Alaska fishing licenses, should you choose to fish, and optional gratuity (10 - 20%). Sales taxes are in addition to the price quoted, and are charged only for portion of your adventure spent within City and Borough of Juneau or Glacier Bay area.
Alaska fishing licenses may be purchased from us when you get here.
Minimum number of guests is six. Small groups may be combined. Don't give up if there are just two of you - maybe we can add you to an existing adventure! (Cruises you can join.)
Exclusive use of the vessel requires at least eight guests.
Children up to 12 years: 50% discount.
Persons over 70 years of age: 5% discount.
5% discount for Southeast Alaska residents, return guests, and for adventures paid in full by March 15. These discounts may be combined.
A fuel surcharge may be levied depending on fuel prices.

How to reserve your adventure: When you have a good idea of the adventure you have in mind, give us a call or email us, and we will help you finalize your itinerary and the cost.

Personalizing your Adventure

These are helpful details for planning your adventure:

What is the focus of your adventure - whalewatching, fishing, cruising?
What are your preferred dates? How long do you want to adventure?
Will you join an already planned adventure or construct your own plan?
How many guests will be in your party?
How can we help coordinate with your arrival and departure in Juneau?
Are there any special dietary needs? (We'll send you a food questionnaire sheet.)
What are your other special requests and needs?

What to bring: Adventures Afloat dress is casual and comfortable. We don't ordinarily dress for dinner. Bring cameras, a warm, waterproof jacket or layered clothing, gloves, hat, and waterproof boots, if available. Shorts and swimsuits are great for those warm sunny days. We supply fishing gear and binoculars.

Cruise ports: Cruising adventures usually begin and end at A5 Aurora Harbor, in downtown Juneau. We sometimes cruise to Petersburg or Ketchikan, if requested, or we drop you off at Auke Bay Harbor in Juneau. We will plan the itinerary to fit your wishes.

Group size: M/V VALKYRIE accommodates twelve guests plus crew. If your party is eight or more people, the entire vessel is reserved just for you. Smaller parties may be combined with other guests who desire a similar adventure.

Payment details: Advance bookings require 25% deposit within ten calendar days. Balance is due at least 30 days before the trip. Adventures booked 30 days or less in advance require full payment within seven calendar days to hold the reservations. Trips booked within seven days of departure require immediate full payment. Checks are payable to Adventures Afloat, or you can transfer money directly to our Wells Fargo Adventures Afloat account. We do not accept credit cards.

Cancellations and refunds: Cancellations can be made by telephone or email.

75% refund of total price if you cancel 30 or more days before your adventure.
50% refund of total price if you cancel 14 - 29 days before your adventure.
25% refund of total price if you cancel 8 - 13 days before your adventure.
No refund of total price if you cancel 7 or less days before your adventure.

If Adventures Afloat must cancel a trip because of weather, mechanical difficulties, or other reasons, every effort will be made to arrange a comparable substitute and to adjust for price differences. Fees will be refunded if no acceptable substitute can be found.

Travel insurance is a great way to protect yourself against unplanned events that disrupt your adventure. Please consider obtaining insurance.
