Sitka, Alaska Don's Custom Stained Glass Art

Hello Folks!

Being from Alaska, and being a commercial fisherman, we sometimes have a lot of time on our hands. Sometimes it's because the weather is doing us in, blowing, howling, and spitting up waves that not even roughest and toughest of us would brave.

Sometimes, it's simply because the days are short and we old fisherman prefer to spend these cold winter nights inside around the fire, snuggled and warm. Thing is, during these times, we need to keep our hands and our brains busy.

Now me, I find that inbetween my oil painting and my stained glass work, the cold dark evenings don't seem so long. This page is dedicated to those long cold evenings, when my imagination works overtime, bringing forth images of all things beautiful in Alaska.

You'll find that each piece of art below is a one-of-a-kind piece. Because of the uniqueness of the glass, each piece is individual, never two alike. And, each piece comes with a signed certificate of authenticity that tells its history. Where the idea came from, the glass, and a bit about the animal or plant that it portrays.

You'll also note that the cabinet doors are specialty items, which need to be specially ordered. The ones below are only to give you an idea of what can be done.
