This fall Carmen will be teaching two courses in composition at Multnomah Bible College, as well as teaching New Testament Survey for North Portland College. She has also been asked to teach a New Testament survey class in the evening.

Craig and Kim Jentink - Cadence Ministry
Craig is now working for the Home office in Colorado. One of his responsibilities will be working with the Cadence Reentry retreat in Colorado Springs. This retreat is for Missionaries who have come off the field and are beginning there home assignment.

Victory Ministries, camp LiWa was officially incorporated in February 1959, one month after Alaska statehood, with a vision of reaching kids for Jesus Christ. During those early years men from Denalie Bible Chapel under the directorship of Don Sauer purchased the original south 40 acres of the LiWa property to began the camp. In subsequent years building and improvements have been made along with additional north property purchased from the adjoining Wycliff Bible Translators site. Today the camp ministers year around with retreats and conferences in the winter, and youth camps the entire summer.

Jason Weed with Youth For Christ
Jason is now working with the Youth for Christ Ministry on the DC/LA project and planning for the upcoming DC/LA 2000 event which will take place June and July of year 2000.
Jason is also planning a mission trip to Bangladesh with Youth For Christ from July 30 through August 17. They will be developing long-term friendships for evangelism, performing open-airs, and working on some construction projects while they are there. Please pray for team unity, and for spiritual growth for all team members.

Dan is in training with Wycliffe Bible translators as a pilot. He has finished his language training in Switzerland. He is currently is at the JAARS center in Waxhaw doing flight recurrence and computer training.

Love INC. is a network of churches. It is not an agency or even an organization what works alongside the church. It is a group of churches. This is an important concept to remember as you read our annual report. The individuals who give rides, pay rents, repair vehicles, etc., do not come from the Love INC. clearinghouse, a central office that screens requests for help and refers legitimate and appropriate needs to the churches. They come from and represent the churches that make up Love INC. and to which the clearinghouse sends referrals. Church volunteers are not responding to the clearinghouse's requests for help. Rather, the Love INC. clearinghouse is responding to the churches' requests for opportunities to minister to needs in the name of Christ. In 1997 the Love INC. clearinghouse referred 1,400 different needs to churches. 1,389 (more than 99 percent) were met. I'm always in awe of how many people are so willing to give of their time and resources. People in churches have a deep desire to respond to the incredible love, acceptance and forgiveness they have experienced from God by sharing that love with others and introducing others to the one from whom that love originates. I thank God that he gives us opportunities to do so
