Inn Description

The Blue Heron Inn  offers private Alaskan accommodations with a touch of elegance.

The waterfall suite, a lovely studio apartment , is comfortably appointed with all of the amenities you deserve and boasts  a fully equipped kitchen.  The main room  is bright, airy and  spacious and contains a King Sleigh Bed, a double loft, a single day bed and a dining alcove.  The bathroom is modern and spacious with a full sized bathtub and shower.  Off of the bathroom is a bedroom with a double bed.  There is a private drive and entrance with a lovely covered deck which is flanked on one side by a gorgeous waterfall and on the other side, Orca Inlet, a part of Prince William Sound. 

The Orca View Suite is on the second level and true to it's name  delivers a spectacular view of the sound.  The suite has private access from a lovely outside deck with a covered gazebo.  The living room is large and  comfortably furnished with oversize couches, TV /VCR and phone . . . A great place to relax after a day of sight seeing.  Off of the living room is a cozy sleeping alcove with a queen size bed and a lovely and spacious bathroom.  Enjoy your morning coffee or an evening drink on your deck and perhaps you will catch a glimpse of Orca Whales sounding or an eagle or two soaring by. 

The King Salmon run right up the inlet in June and July and the silver salmon run in August and September. Of course, the sea otters, sea lions, a myriad of waterfowl, eagles, hummingbirds and pet blue jays are available for viewing at all times. 

We are located 1 1/2 miles from the town center, a lovely and popular walk in itself, a 5 minute cab ride or car ride.  We offer a rental car to our clients.
