WE CARE AS WE SHARE GOD'S WORD

AWANA

Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed

II Tim. 2:15

Awana Clubs International is dedicated to the conviction that the church's most fruitful mission is reaching boys and girls for Jesus Christ. Our church's AWANA club has become a means to carry out our new Mission Statement: Community Baptist Church, in love and dependence upon the Lord Jesus Christ, is committed to bring people to a new life and maturity in Him.. Therefore, we offer a warm welcome to new children in the neighborhood who want to play fun games, make lots of friends and receive awards for work well done, And a BIG welcome goes out to parents who want to hangout with us to see what goes on, have coffee & donuts, possibly help children practice verses or help team leaders during game time. We LIKE new people and think sharing in the fun is OK.

The program is made up of :

GAME TIME, Every Awana Club meeting includes a high-energy Game Time featuring individual and team competition. Game time unlashes kid's natural energy and enthusiasm. The Awana Game Circle has universal appeal. Kids everywhere love Awana games! Everyone participates.

HANDBOOK TIME, Using achievement-oriented curriculum materials, Awana emphasizes carefully selected Bible verses for memorization and understanding. With a trained leader alongside to encourage and guide, clubbers develop a Bible-based view of how to know and serve God. Clubbers are rewarded for there achievements as they progress through the handbook.

COUNCIL TIME: The whole club gathers for a Bible message, singing, and announcements of upcoming events. The highlight of Council Time is the presentation of awards for individual handbook progress and team competition.

Here are a few comments about the Awana program:

From A Leader In Florida --- "Parental encouragement makes a big difference in a clubber's success in Awana."

From A Pastor In Michigan ---"Awana teaches youngsters the importance of being team members, responding to authority and learning discipline."
