April 1996 to Present:

Coordinated training for students, staff and faculty of UAF; designed and developed training materials, provided specialized training to units within the university, and presented seminars related to UAF's computing resources. Worked with the ad-hoc WWW development team to produce a revised structure and layout for UAF's new web site.

June 1994 to January 1995:

Involved with all aspects of small business including management, marketing, hiring, bookkeeping and payroll. Sold deli in 1995, but still involved with remaining business ventures on a part-time basis.

January 1986 to January 1991:

Owner and publisher of The Boat Broker Magazine, a seasonal marine publication based in Juneau, Alaska. Responsible for start-up, sales, marketing, promotions, design, past-up, writing, editing and distribution. Had monthly sales of $13,000 and circulation of 40,000, reaching 40 communities throughout Southeast Alaska. Sold magazine upon moving to Fairbanks.

January 1989 to January 1991:

Co-owner of The Printed Page, a desktop publishing business which provided advertising, promotional materials and publications for Juneau businesses and agencies. With partner, developed and produced Airwaves , the television and radio guide for KTOO0-FM and TV. Also published On the Market, a real estate guide distributed throughout Juenau

Legislative Sessions of 1985, 1986, 1989 and 1990:

Originally executive secretary, then Researcher for Ben Grussendorf, Speaker of the House of the Alaska State Legislature. Responsible for legislative research, constituent correspondence, scheduling, and other tasks.

Legislative Session of 1982, 1983 and 1984:

Production assistant and producer for statewide legislative television program. Responsible for all facets of television production, including camera operation, audio, lighting, post-production, character generation, and eventually directing and editing legislative segments.

January 1981 to Dec. 1982 and May 1983 to Dec. 1993:

Production Assistant and eventually Assistant Producer for Tanana Chiefs Conference television division. Worked with producer and director to videotape, edit and distribute public service programming for non-profit Native corporation. Involved in script-writing, pre and post-production. Traveled throughout rural Alaska. Provided grant writing services.

January 1979 to January 1981:

Production assistant (part-time during UAF semesters and full-time during summer) at KUAC-TV. Involved in studio and remote production. Produced public service announcements for KUAC-TV, and worked with directors and producers to provide set design, pre-production, production, and post production of local and statewide programs.
