About Oilwind
Longline Autobaiter

Dave's OILWIND jigger pulled this 287 pound halibut from 32 fathoms, no sweat!

The OILWIND automatic jigging machine has maximum strength, pulling power, ease of operation, and reliability. Unrivaled in its simple fishing features, the OILWIND 03-16 can haul profits over your rail like no other jigging machine of its kind. Detecting, hooking, and hauling the fish is what it's all about. Insist on OILWIND. Old world craftsmanship with space age technology from the Faroe Islands.

"At OILWIND, we work everyday with Faeroese fishermen, whose success is the key to survival for our island nation. Our close contact gives us first-hand information about what commercial fishermen want in the way of better technique, equipment, and new ways of fishing." Jakup Joensen.

 "Plug and Play"

The jig computer comes with default settings from the factory, so it is ready to fish. But this machine is also easily programmable by the fisherman to suit particular fishing conditions and requirements. Some conditions favor a more active jigging action, such as rough or snaggy bottom. Other times a slow jig action can tempt the fish to bite.

Fishermen will find they have favorite settings depending on sinker size, boat movement, sea condition, and fish species targeted.

As many cod as hooks.

Jason:"I had over 110 sea bass, about $2400 in one day, working three Oilwinds on the south coast of the UK." Notice the Oilwind mounting stands.

Big cod, too.

"I could not get over how easy the machine was to use." Maynard Brewer, Southport Island, Maine.
